Some times stats don't lie. Spain have just silenced pretty much every one who thought they were not good enough. Couple of lucky breaks but overall a thumbs up performance. What a header from the Spanish Captain and the most unlikely player to score. Germany can take the comfort that they beat Argentina and made further than England, Italy, France and BRAZIL.

Is Spain a match for the German Perfection?
As much as i am rooting for the Spain tomorrow, i cant help but admire the diversity of the German team and how beautiful they dance together. They are playing as they were a mix of Brazilians, Turkish, Spanish, Polish, Nigerian, Ghanaian and Germans ( Spain should look into Diversity). Nevertheless, Die Mannschaft is a diverse team that plays well together, whereas the Spanish have always viewed past Spain National teams to feature some players that were loyal to Catalonia and FC Barcelona than Spain.
" In soccer, that translates into a frostiness toward Catalan players, a suspicion that they don't play for the national colors with the same enthusiasm as they do for FC Barcelona, a club so closely linked to the Catalan identity that its crest includes the Catalan flag. Barça's slogan, "Més que un club" (More than a club), hints at its political role. Some Spaniards blame generations of Catalan players for the fact that the national team has never won the World Cup despite fielding world-beating talent every four years. During the 2006 Cup, Spain flamed out to France even before the quarterfinals. "
